The Spatz3™ Adjustable Balloon is a fluid-filled adjustable balloon approved for 8 months to aid weight loss it is uniquely adjustable, which means that your physician can boost your weight loss, when necessary, with a simple, outpatient adjustment of the balloons volume.
The Spatz3™ Adjustable Balloon will yield the best result when used in conjunction with diet, exercise, and a behaviour modification program.
The Spatz3 Adjustable Balloon for adults with a body mass index (BMI) of 27 and above who failed to achieve and maintain weight loss with a supervised weight-control program or for adults with a BMI greater than 40 kg/m2 or BMI of 35 kg/m2 with comorbidities, prior to obesity or other surgery, to reduce surgical risk.

Adverse Events:
Nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain are common for the first few days after the balloon is inserted in the stomach. Medications can help to minimize these side effects.
